We have over a mile of ziplines in our canopy tour through a beautiful wooded ridge. Adventure Valley has ten ziplines – the most of any zipline tour in the Midwest. Line number 9 is our super-zip – over 1,100 feet long and reaching speeds of up to 45 miles per hour or more. We have certified guides who take you safely through the tour. All you need to do is enjoy the ride.
- 10 Thrilling Ziplines: including one of the longest in the region at 1,100 feet, reaching speeds of 45 mph and 20 feet of fun on our aerial bridge.
- Scenic Beauty: Soar through the forest canopy.
- Comprehensive Safety: Our highly trained guides prioritize your safety and ensure you have an amazing time.
- The Super Zip
The Super-Zip
Our guests zip from the shelter of the tree canopy over an open farm field before arriving at the receiving platform. This customer favorite is our fastest line, but don’t worry our guides will be waiting to receive you at the other end.
- The Trust Builder
The Trust Builder
This slower line is designed for riding backwards. You won’t see where you are heading but your group and our trained receiving guide will tell you when to break so you’ll land safely. This is a great experience for team building and an exciting ride for any guest.
- Viking Rides
Viking Rides
We start each tour with some quick off-roading in our side-by-sides to the top of the ridge. You’ll enjoy this thrilling experience all most as much as the zipline tour. By the time you arrive at the first platform, we’ll already have a smile on your face. - Tandem Riding
Tandem Riding
Our guides are trained to ride along with young riders who are not able to brake on their own. We have two practice lines at the beginning of the course where we can determine who may need assistance.
Had so much fun zip lining here! All the staff are so friendly and well versed in what they do. Definitely want to come back!
- We loved our zipline adventure! It’s a great course for beginners, but was still thrilling! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. It was a fantastic experience!
- Went ziplining with my four kids – at all different athletic levels. They were kind, patient and funny. I have a 10 year old disabled son who they took tandem. They were sensitive to his needs. Clearly have experience with special needs kids. We will go back for sure!!!
Safety
Although our ziplines are the most extreme fun you can have in St. Louis, they are also extremely safe. We also put our guides through rigorous training to ensure your safety, and a great experience. Our safety training protocols attend to every detail of your tour. You’ll be having so much fun that you won’t even think about your safety. But we do.

1. What are the weight and physical limits?
The weight limit for all participants on the 10-zipline canopy tour is 250 lbs. and up to a 44-inch waist (or a waistline that will fit in our harnesses). Our “infant” harness can accommodate riders whose waist is at least 22 inches and legs are 14 to 17 inches in circumference. This usually means 3 year olds and up. The weight restriction assures that our guides can safely catch any guest who does not brake on our faster lines. Please call us directly if you have any physical limitations.
2. What are the age restrictions?
There are no age restrictions on our ziplines at Adventure Valley. So long as a child is potty-trained, can walk, and can fit in a harness, he or she can ride. Smaller children who are unable to operate their hand brake will ride tandem with our trained guides. There is a minimum 12 year old age restriction on the paintball park.
3. How do guests brake on the ziplines?
Each guest has a BrakeHawk® hand brake that enables our guests to control their own speed. If for any reason a guest fails to brake on a faster line, our guides are trained to catch them using a prusik rope, specially designed to catch the guest’s trolley.
4. What do I need to bring to Adventure Valley Zipline Tours?
You are required to sign a waiver to participate in activities. Please complete your waiver in advance by clicking HERE. Our waiver system is digital so you must complete our waiver online or arrive early to complete your digital waiver at the park.
5. How long do the tours take?
The 10-zipline canopy tour takes approximately one to two hours to complete, depending on the size of the group. A small group (3 – 5 persons) can usually complete the lines within an hour. A larger group (8 – 10 persons) will take up to two hours. These tour times do not include the orientation and harnessing of guests by our guides. We ask that you arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in, as we try to leave promptly on the hour.
6. What do I need to wear to zipline?
We ride rain or shine. Come prepared for the day’s weather. Please wear closed toed shoes and pull long hair back in a ponytail. Leave dangling earrings at home. We suggest dressing for the weather. In the summer, we suggest cool colors, shorts, and t-shirts. We do not recommend short shorts because the harnesses sit at mid-thigh and may not be comfortable on bare skin. In colder weather, we recommend long pants, jeans, or sweat pants, and sweatshirts or jackets. You will be wearing a helmet that will cover most stocking caps if you choose to wear one. In both hot and cold weather, we will be issuing you a pair of leather gloves to protect your hands. Please call or ask us if you have any concerns about what to wear.
7. Can pregnant women zipline?
Unfortunately, pregnant women are not permitted to zipline for their own safety, and the safety of their unborn child.
8. Can I bring a camera on tour?
Cameras and phones are permitted, but pictures and videos should never be taken while you are actively riding a line. (Take them only when you are safely on a platform or the ground). We also do not recommend taking cameras or phones on the tour, unless they can be secured in a zippered pocket. We can provide you with a net pouch that can hang from your waist to hold your camera, phone, and any small personal items. But we cannot be responsible for any lost or damaged cameras, phones, or other items. We also rent Go Pro camera helmets if you want to capture your ziplining experience from your own action perspective, and we will sell you the Sim card to take home.
9. How long and fast are the ziplines?
The zipline canopy tour at Adventure Valley has 10 ziplines that range from approximately 100 feet to 1,100 feet long. The 1,100 foot long “super-zip” reaches speeds of 40 – 50 mph! Altogether, the 10 lines are over a mile in length.
10. Can children under the age of 18 go on the tour by themselves?
For safety and legal reasons, all minors must be accompanied by an adult. For every 4 minors, we ask that one adult be present on the tour. If you are 18 or over, you can go on the tour by yourself.
11. Do you offer discounts for groups?
We offer a $5 discount per person for groups of 5 or more. Call us at (314) 366-1145 for discounted pricing on groups of 10 or more. We always offer a $5 discount for seniors (65+), and active and retired military, police, and firefighters. Combo packages are also available for the zipline canopy tour and the paintball park, for an unforgettable day of fun.
12. How can I buy gift certificates for someone special?
Gift certificates can be purchased directly on our website by clicking the gift certificate link. If you prefer to pick one up, you can contact us by email at Fun@AdventureValley.com or call us at (314) 366-1145.
13. What if I need to cancel my tour?
We have a 7 DAY cancellation policy and will issue a full refund to anyone who notifies us a full 7 days prior to their tour time. Please notify us by phone during normal business hours at (314) 366-1145. (Please do not email us with your cancellation). We reschedule riders who cancel their tour within the 7 day period, but do not issue refunds for these late cancellations. No refunds or rescheduling of any kind will be given to day of cancellations or no shows. Our cancellation policy is in place because we hold your tour time for you and your group, and often turn away other customers for that time.
14. What if I’m going to be late for my zipline tour?
We require you to arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. We use those 20 minutes to check you in, harness you up, and give you our orientation. If you know you are going to be late please call (do not email) with as much notice as possible. We reserve the right to start the tour without you if you are not on time, with no guarantee of getting you in a later tour that day. Being late is the equivalent of a “no show” and will be charged for the full price of the tour. Please note that arriving later than 20 minutes prior to your tour time is considered late.
15. Who takes us on the tour?
Each of our zipline tours are accompanied by two guides – one who will send you, and another who will receive you. Our guides are trained to assure that you will have a safe and enjoyable experience. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the rides. If you have any questions during the tour, just ask our guides. They will be happy to answer you.
16. Do I tip my guides?
Our guides love tips – who doesn’t? We encourage you to tip the guides and referees if they gave you a fun time with us. But tipping is not mandatory. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask your guides or referees, or ask us at the front desk. And, we always welcome feedback at the front desk on how our employees handled your stay with us.
17. Can people with health issues still participate in the tour?
If you have any pre-existing health conditions that impair your physical activity, you should check with your doctor before you participate in the tour. If you have any allergies (such as allergies to bee or wasp stings, etc.), be sure to bring any medications you may need, including any rescue inhalers or epi-pens. We cannot be responsible for any health problems you may have during the tour.
18. Do you have to climb up a lot of stairs?
Our ziplines start at a short platform where you will walk only several stairs. After that, there are no stairs to climb, as our lines go from platform to platform through the natural contours of the land and trees. We use the natural contours of the land and most of our ziplines start and end on the ground. Your ziplining experience will end with a zipline to the ground, right where you started.
19. What if it rains?
Our zipline tours operate rain or shine. We monitor the weather. If a thunderstorm or lightning pops up, our support staff will drive up in the side by side and pick up your group at a ground platform. The group will wait safely indoors until the thunder storm has passed to resume the tour. If a thunder storm is active during your departure time, your group will wait indoors until the thunder storm as left the area before beginning the tour.
